Shiv Kumar Batalvi is such a name that needs no introduction, He himself was a great poet who was born in the year 1936 to a sacrosanct birthland of solemn poets in Barapind, Punjab
(Pakistan).
He was an Indian artist, author and dramatist of the Punjabi language. He was generally known for his sentimental verse, noted for its uplifted enthusiasm, tenderness, division and sweetheart's anguish. 
He turned into the most youthful beneficiary of the Sahitya Akademi Grant in 1967, given by the Sahitya Akademi (India's National Foundation
of Letters), for his epic stanza play dependent on the antiquated legend of Puran Bhagat,
